CHAPTER 1: PERSONAL GROWTH: MORE THAN RESULTS

Sometimes, work, exams, sports and whole life as well may seem like they’re all about results: victories, records, figures. However, they are much more than this for you as a person. In the score, victories and everyday life there are moments of work. In mountains of learning, failing, adjusting and starting over again. And behind every person, including yourself, is a human being with feelings, thoughts, dreams and challenges.

Yes, results can be exciting! Chasing goals, breaking limits, competing with others, that’s all part of the game. But if you focus only on outcomes, you might miss the most powerful part of your journey: WHO YOU ARE BECOMING IN THE PROCESS!

This is equally true for people who practice self-organized sports, such as going to the gym on your own, running, or training without a coach. Even if you don’t compete against others, every session is an opportunity to notice how you grow, what you learn about yourself and how you deal with challenges.

In the MindPlay approach, we see a life itself as a journey where:

  • You grow both physically and mentally.
  • Learning and personal growth are just as important as winning.
  • Emotional balance is key for long-term success.

And remember, self-organized athletes also need emotional balance, not only professional or team players. Whether you are training in a gym, practicing yoga at home, or running outdoors, these principles apply to you.

How does everyday life impact your mind?

When you train, having exams, work or just doing usual things, your body isn’t the only thing learning. Your mind is also training to focus, to handle stress, to embrace discipline. But sometimes these experiences can also create pressure. Through MindPlay, you’ll learn how to recognize this and how to respond calmly.
